Our Mission and Team

Tabletop wargaming offers a structured, immersive social environment that can significantly aid mental health and reduce social anxiety in veterans, both current and ex-serving. The game’s tactical nature resonates with military experience, providing familiarity and a sense of control. Group play encourages social interaction in a low-pressure setting, helping veterans rebuild trust and communication skills. Painting miniatures and crafting terrain offer therapeutic, meditative benefits, promoting mindfulness and reducing stress. The collaborative and competitive elements foster camaraderie and purpose, echoing the bond of military teams. Through shared goals and positive engagement, wargaming becomes a safe, rewarding outlet for veterans to reconnect and heal.

Tim is a dedicated Wargamer and has multiple armies across multiple systems. He is currently working on expanding his Leagues of Votann army for 40K and adding to the ever growing Dwarf Throng for Warhammer: The Old World.

Tim also dabbles in a bit of World of Warcraft.

Secretary
Brody Mewett

Brody had his first foray into tabletop wargaming when a friend bought the Age of Sigmar 2nd edition launch box in 2018 for $200. Thinking this was a ludicrous amount to spend on plastic, he reluctantly gave it a go. He then painted up a WarCry warband, then a Kill Team roster, then a Start Collecting box, finally building up to 1000pts of Adeptus Mechanicus as a nice round number to stop collecting. Flash forward 7 years and he’s painted tens of thousands of points of models and spent a bit more than $200 doing so. Brody’s always down for a game of 40k, AoS or Kill Team, and is setting his sights on new editions of The Old World and Horus Heresy. He’s also into a lot of non-GW board games so feel free to hit him up with any recommendations.

Glen started his foray into Tabletop Gaming back in 1985, when he and some friends started a DnD group. It was in June of 1987 that Rogue Trader magazine started showing a game from Warhammer called 40K. By Third edition in 1998, Glen had finally settled on the Black Templars as his army of choice. “No pity, No remorse, No Fear” Glen plays multiple systems, however he currently is focusing on completing his Black Templar Crusaders, Age of Sigmar Stormcast Eternals: Knights Excelsior (The Black Templars of AoS) and continuing playing DnD with his original group, who this year will celebrate 40 years of gaming together. Glen is also an avid gamer enjoying World of Tanks and is the current guild leader of Gallipoli Gamers Guild in World of Warcraft.

Vice President
Torey Morgan

Torey started dabbling into Tabletop Gaming quite recently, beginning in 2022 when he purchased a 3d printer. Torey began printing models and terrain for his DnD one-shots he would run with friends from work. One day after browsing for paints at his local store, he was offered some free games of 9th edition 40K, and a discounted starter bundle. From then, he was hooked. Now sporting a variety of different 40K armies, with a favoured taste of Chaos, he has diversified into both AoS and Star Wars Armada. Torey also has an extensive background in the TCG world of Pokemon and YuGiOh! respectively, ever since early high school in 2015. Competing at the nationals for YuGiOh! on multiple occasions.
